1940s

 FILA, Fabbrica Italiana Lucidi ed Affini, was founded in 1943 by twins Guido and Pietro Pettenon with a clear vision the production of shoe polish, wax, and household cleaners. It was the years of World War II, and there was a desire for change and growth; FILA quickly became a leading Italian company for the production of high-quality shoe polish, even chosen by the Italian army.

70s

The 1970s were a turning point, thanks to the vision of Beniamino, our current Honorary President, and the support of his sister Adriana: from household cleaning products to professional surface protection products. Starting with terracotta, FILA began researching all the flooring and cladding materials available on the market. Furthermore, during this period, FILA launched its first print campaign in collaboration with Sannini, a terracotta flooring manufacturer
